Induction Ceremony of August 29, 2019
The ceremony took place at the restaurant LYDANE, located in the commune of COCODY. It gathered around thirty people including the six new co-opted members, their respective godparents, members of the ROTARY AKWABA club and guests. Among these guests, the presence of Assistant Governor Mr. Abou-Bakar OUATTARA, Mr. Guy-Marcel WONJA KOUO President of the ROTARY Club ABIDJAN ATLANTIS, Mrs. Catherine BEAUJOUR member of the ROTARY Luxembourg Hearts and Mr. Alhi KEITA from ROTARY South Cocody and ROTARY E-Club. We thank them for passing this ceremony by their presence.
The induction ceremony took place in 3 main stages. The first step was an allocation of AKWABA Club President Mrs. Victoire GABALA who welcomed the audience and solemnly opened the ceremony.
The second part of the evening consisted of the enthronement itself. Indeed, after the Rotary song hummed in heart by all the audience, each godfather and godmother presented his godson and especially mentioned why they would make good Rotarians. Club President Ms. GABALA then proceeded with the co-optation address and the awarding of pennants to the new members, who pledged to adhere to ROTARY and its values. The new Rotarians then thanked the president, their godparents and the AKWABA club for their cooptation.
The ceremony ended with a dinner, during which the audience savored in a warm atmosphere of the Ivorian dishes concocted by Chef Zoumana Ouattara.
It should be noted that the cohort of new members is well balanced at the gender level (3 women and 3 men) and diversified in terms of sectors of activity, classification. Below is the identity of the six new AKWABA members:

- Karim Méhanvais KONE : Bank / Finance / Investments
